Azure Cloud Infrastructure Engineer, Senior
Implement, maintain, manage, troubleshoot, and optimize functional and secure On-premise and Azure cloud environments. Cloud engineer will be responsible for supporting all on-premise, hybrid, Azure, and AWS infrastructures. This is a hands-on operational position requiring technical knowledge and expertise within cloud services and virtualization.

Major Duties:
- Provide subject matter expertise for Azure cloud services, including but not limited to AWS, and virtualization technology.
- Performs IT Operations system administration tasks including installing operating system software, patches, and upgrades.
- Directly responsible for infrastructure, automation and working closely with the engineering team to roll out infrastructure in agile processes and fosters DevOps culture.
- Analyze systems performance to identify potential opportunities for improvement in virtualized environments, hardware infrastructure, backup, archive systems, data storage environment, and cloud environment systems and services.
- Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve instance, software, network, and other cloud issues.
- Work along-side IT security analysts and other IT staff to correctly setup and maintain cloud applications free of risks and vulnerabilities.
- Work with third-party cloud vendors to obtain security assessments through software monitoring tools to reduce risk and vulnerabilities to the infrastructure.
- Identify incidents for review and participates in related Root Cause Analyses for Critical and High Incidents.
- Working knowledge of application code delivery pipelines and integrations into infrastructure automation mechanisms/pipelines.
- Extensive experience automating delivery of on-premise infrastructure in a traditional VMware, Windows, Linux and SAN/NAS environment.

Professional Qualifications/Skills:
- Must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics or similar technical discipline and 7+ years experience in system administration in a large enterprise environment.
- Must have an Active Top-Secret Security Clearance.
- Must have 5+ years system administration experience in Microsoft Azure cloud.
- Excellent understanding of system and network architecture in the cloud and able to manage multiple resources in support of EA cloud efforts.
- Demonstrate significant experience working with AWS cloud infrastructure and services, AWS networking, IAM roles, and scripting in Perl/Python/Shell.
- In-depth understanding and knowledge of various cloud service models to include IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS and supporting deployment models, including Private, Public, and Hybrid cloud. Â
- Must possess hands-on technology knowledge and recognized expertise in public and hybrid-cloud tools and technologies covering automated provisioning and configuration management.
- Must have Professional Cloud Certificate for Microsoft Certified Azure Solutions Architect Expert certification or a minimum Azure Administration Associate certification.
