Business Technology Integrators (BTI) is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) with more than 25 years of experience delivering innovative and reliable IT and engineering solutions to the Federal Government. BTI supports mission-critical programs across defense and civilian agencies, with core expertise in cybersecurity, program management, enterprise IT, and technical oversight services.

BTI is currently searching for a UI/UX Specialist to fulfill the roles and responsibilities below:

Roles and Responsibilities:

The UX Web Developer will design, develop, and maintain both the public-facing and administrative portals taking into account user experience (UX) design best practices that follow industry standards.

The UX Web Developer will develop storyboards for each page of the portal and gain the approval of the product owner prior to developing any web pages.

The design look and feel must conform with the Department of Labor’s web standards and styles and will utilize DOL’s Drupal theming.

The UX Web Developer is responsible for ensuring that the portals are in conformance with Section 508 requirements and any identified security vulnerabilities under their control are promptly mitigated.
Experience/Qualifications:
  • Undergraduate college degree from an accredited college or university in computer science, statistics, mathematics, or other discipline related to the requirements of this project, or equivalent experience.
  • At least 6 years of progressively responsible web development experience, which includes at least three years of experience performing web design duties.
  • Experience developing secured access web pages.
  • Experience developing search and results pages.
  • Experience in designing and developing administrative portals that can access and edit large amounts
of data.
  • Experience in configuring web pages to support web analytics.
  • Experience planning, conducting, assigning, and monitoring visualization development efforts in an iterative manner, particularly the ability to work with business partners to review prototypes and develop iterative revisions.
  • Experience in translating business requirements into UX design artifacts
