We are seeking an MRI Technologist (Full-Time)

The MRI Technologist reports to the designated leader within the Imaging Department.聽 As a Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Technologist, you will provide clinical services according to MR practice standards and act as a resource to MRI students and other technologists while ensuring optimal department functions. To help achieve our mission, you will administer sound patient care practices according to department/hospital policies and procedures while ensuring patient safety. Your ability to demonstrate magnetic safety for patients, staff and self as outlined in department protocols and regulatory guidelines is of vital importance. Maintaining equipment, exam rooms and work areas in neat and safe condition, to ensure the safety of the patients and team members, is required. Completing ancillary tasks to ensure efficient and consistent departmental operations is expected.

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • High School Graduate or equivalent required.聽
  • Diploma from certified school of Radiology required.聽
  • BS or MS in healthcare preferred.
  • Current ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT required.聽
  • Two (2) years of experience as a MRI lead and acute care experience preferred.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)

Skills:

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, regulatory or accreditation requirements聽 Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.聽 Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Ability to calculate figures and percentages.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.聽 Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Demonstrates knowledge and ensures compliance with all regulatory bodies, e.g. The Joint Commission and American College of Radiology (ACR) and Title 22 standards and guidelines.
  • Demonstrates compliance with hospital policies and procedures at all times.
  • Demonstrates strong leadership, organization, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrates ability to relate to clinical personnel and medical staff, as well as ability to interact well with the public.
  • Must have knowledge of PC and applications.
