Your opportunity

We’re currently looking for a Production Supervisor at our Facility in Waterville, ME.

What you’ll be doing:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Supervises all personnel and operations on the shift.
  • Maintains thorough knowledge of all processes and equipment.
  • Reports any process and equipment problems. 
  • Calls the Maintenance Supervisor on evenings and weekends for assistance with problems.
  • Verifies that discharges from the plant are within limits.
  • Trains, upgrades, evaluates, and reviews chemical operators.
  • Organizes work for smooth operations.
  • Ensures that established policies, rules and regulations, and procedures are followed.
  • Verifies correct identification, weights, and warehousing of products.
  • Distributes plant status reports to the next-shift Foreman and General Foreman.
  • Supervises loading and unloading of trucks and verifies that paperwork is correctly signed.
  • Responsible for all processes, equipment, employees, safety, and housekeeping of the area and meeting production quality and quantity standards on the shift.
  • Completes run sheets.
  • Troubleshoots problems.

What you’ll bring to the role

  • KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
  • Requires overall knowledge of reactors, instruments, dryers, centrifuges, filters, pumps, forklifts, steam baths, temperature recorders, scales, banding machines, standard test equipment, and plant processes.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to work in indoor and outdoor industrial environments, including exposure to all weather conditions, heights, and confined spaces.
  • Ability to wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Muat be able to work 12- hours, rotating shift schedule (days/nights)
  • Overtime, nights, holidays, and weekend work may be required based on plant needs and equipment demands.
  • Visual acuity (corrected) to read directions and prints and to inspect machine parts, product to ensure parts meet specifications.
  • Manual dexterity is sufficient to operate machinery for precision work.
  • Physical ability to do work requiring frequent stooping, standing, squatting, bending, crawling, twisting, and lifting of 50 pounds.
