- Lead, coach, and develop production technicians; set clear expectations for safety, quality, productivity, and teamwork
- Build an engaged, accountable shop-floor culture through feedback, recognition, and growth opportunities
- Support hiring, onboarding, training, and cross-training as the Waukesha operation scales, partnering with Manufacturing Engineering, Training, and Quality to close skill gaps and develop future leaders
- Own safe execution in the production area, ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations
- Maintain a visible safety presence, participate in audits/reviews, and foster a culture where employees proactively raise and resolve safety concerns
- Lead daily production activities to meet safety, quality, delivery, and productivity goals
- Set daily/weekly/monthly production priorities and coordinate staffing, labor allocation, and sequencing based on business requirements
- Identify and resolve constraints, bottlenecks, or shortages quickly to keep production flowing
- Ensure adherence to standardized work and quality requirements
- Own and drive KPIs across Safety, People, Quality, Delivery, and Cost/Productivity
- Lead daily production meetings and accountability routines
- Apply Lean principles (standard work, 5S, waste reduction, visual management, continuous improvement) and support NPI and operational excellence initiatives
- Partner with Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Materials, Maintenance, Logistics, and EHS to ensure production readiness
- Communicate production priorities, risks, and recovery plans to stakeholders; support workforce planning as volume grows
- Work with the Jenbach team to transfer production knowledge and best practices, and help build the operating systems needed for a successful Waukesha start-up and ramp
- Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Operations, Business, or a related field preferred.
- 5+ years’ experience leading teams in complex mechanical, electrical, engine, generator, heavy equipment, automotive, industrial equipment, or engineered-product assembly.
- Experience with ERP or MES (Oracle preferred).
- Ability to complete a training assignment at the Jenbacher manufacturing operation in Jenbach, Austria.
