If you are looking for a role that helps support meaningful, patient centered care, this is your opportunity to make a difference!    How You’ll Make a Difference (Essential Functions)  The DME Technician is responsible for transport and processing of Durable Medical Equipment (DME). Duties include delivery and pickup of equipment from patient homes and facilities throughout the assigned service area and for cleaning and maintenance of DME, equipment storage, and monitoring of warehouse stock items and supplies.   Key Responsibilities  Equipment Delivery & Pick Up  Complete timely delivery/pick up of equipment and route completion based on time benchmarks and to service excellence standards. Move, assemble, and disassemble durable medical equipment as required by applicable regulatory requirements, safety standards, and in house policies/procedures/protocols. Train users on safe operation, use, and storage of equipment. Ensure that assigned vehicle is in working order, maintained, and stocked. Participate in DME weekend rotation and on call responsibilities. Warehouse Operations  Clean returned equipment as required by applicable regulatory requirements, safety standards, and in house policies/procedures/protocols. Perform repair, calibration, and preventative maintenance on equipment. Making recommendations on replacement of damaged items. Monitor inventory of warehouse stock items and supplies. Request additional items and supplies as appropriate. Assist with annual physical count audit.
