Contents Technician

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated Contents Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist in handling, cleaning, and restoring customers’ personal belongings following fire, water, or mold damage. As a Contents Technician, you will play a crucial role in inventorying, packing, transporting, cleaning, and returning contents while maintaining organization and care throughout the restoration process.

Responsibilities:

• Inventory, photograph, and document customer contents accurately.
• Pack, wrap, label, and transport contents to and from cleaning facilities.
• Identify salvageable versus non-salvageable items.
• Clean and restore contents using appropriate methods and equipment.
• Maintain organization and tracking of contents throughout the restoration process.
• Load and unload contents safely to prevent damage during transport.
• Communicate effectively with team members and customers.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Adhere to safety regulations and company procedures at all times.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in restoration, cleaning, moving, or a related field is preferred but not required.
• Ability to handle and care for a wide variety of personal belongings with attention to detail.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to track and document inventory accurately.
• Basic computer skills and willingness to learn job management systems.
• Ability to work in physically demanding environments and lift heavy objects.
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and ability to follow instructions.
• Good communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team.

Physical Requirements

• Lift up to 30-60 pounds frequently during shift. Occasional 100 pounds
• Bend, stoop, push, and pull in a work environment for up to an 10 hour work shift.
