Transfer Truck Driver Evening Shift ( 4pm- 12:30am) $500 Dollar Sign on Bonus at 6 months!

 Reports To: Distribution Manager
 Status: Non-Exempt

Description: The Overnight Transfer Driver is responsible for safely operating a 26’ truck to transport company merchandise between designated locations. 


Duties and Responsibilities include the following.  Other duties may be assigned.

  • Drive a 26’ truck overnight to a designated transfer location, swap vehicles with another driver, and return.

  • Assist in loading and unloading merchandise to and from the truck.

  • Conduct complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections using the company checklist.

  • Properly secure loads to prevent damage to merchandise during transit.

  • Adhere to all DOT, DMV, and company safety regulations at all times.

  • Complete and submit required paperwork accurately and on time.

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of assigned vehicle.

  • Communicate professionally with team members and management.

  • Follow company safety guidelines and use all required PPE.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

    Compensation & Benefits

  • Pay: $23/hour, paid weekly

  • Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life AD&D, 401(k), bonus eligibility, sign on bonus

  • Paid Time Off

  • Schedule: Full-time, overnight shifts, Monday through Friday (average 38–50 hours per week, overtime available).

  • Tools & Equipment Provided: GPS-enabled tablet, route manifests, gas card, lift gates, pallet jacks, hand dollies, and PPE.

  • Training: 1 to 2-week paid training period; 90-day probationary period.

Qualifications:

Language Ability:

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.


Math Ability:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.


Education/Experience:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or equivalent combination of education and experience.  Experience or knowledge in the automotive industry.  For insurance purposes you must be 21 years of age or older.


Certificates and Licenses: 

Valid driver’s license.  Forklift certification. Training and certification available.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to work near moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, and outdoor weather conditions.   This is a smoke free environment for safety reasons.
