This position demands physical strength, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety. The work directly impacts the quality and efficiency of sugar production, making it an essential part of the team.     ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:   Operate basic machinery and material handling equipment safely and efficiently. Cut, shape, and bend materials, such as metals, using tools like saws, drills, oxy-acetylene torches, and grinders. Assist in assembling a variety of parts and structures based on blueprints, sketches, and drawings. Assist in welding and joining parts together to create a complete product. Maintain cleanliness in the work areas, including sweeping, mopping, and disposing of waste materials. Prepare work areas, load and unload materials and equipment, and ensure all necessary tools and materials are ready for use. Assist in monitoring and ensuring product quality, reporting any discrepancies or issues to supervisors. Perform routine maintenance and repairs on tools and equipment to ensure they are in good working order. Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols, using personal protective equipment (PPE) as required. Work effectively as part of a team to meet goals and deadlines. Performs other related projects and assignments as business dictates.      SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Ability to follow instructions from supervisors or senior workers. Ability to use hand tools and power tools. Proficiency in using tape measure, levels, and other measuring devices. Organizational and time management skills.     LICENSES REQUIRED: None     EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.     PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Regular attendance is required during your scheduled shift. Must be able to work in hot, cold, wet, humid, dusty, and foggy working conditions depending on the weather. Must be able to work in all positions (overhead, kneeling, reaching, crawling & working in small workspaces).
