EDU-AIDs is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic 7th Grade Science Teacher to support middle school students in West Haven, Connecticut.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging science lessons aligned with Connecticut curriculum standards.
- Teach scientific concepts through classroom instruction, hands-on activities, and experiments.
- Assess student progress and provide additional academic support as needed.
- Maintain a safe, positive, and inclusive classroom environment.
- Apply effective classroom management strategies appropriate for middle school students.
- Collaborate with parents, teachers, and school staff to support student success.
- Maintain accurate student records and follow all school policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Science, Education, or a related field.
- Valid Connecticut teaching certification with the appropriate science endorsement for Grade 7.
- Strong knowledge of middle school science concepts and instructional practices.
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
- Ability to engage and support students with diverse learning needs.
