Commercial Carpenter

Skillforce is hiring Commercial Carpenters for ongoing project work in West Palm Beach, FL. As a Commercial Carpenter, you will be responsible for layout, framing, and finish carpentry on an active commercial jobsite. If you have two or more years of commercial carpentry experience, apply now!

Commercial Carpenter Pay:

• $24.00 to $27.00 per hour, based on your commercial carpentry experience.
• W-2 employment with weekly pay by direct deposit.

Commercial Carpenter Responsibilities

• Lay out and frame interior and exterior walls using metal studs and wood framing based on project blueprints.
• Install and finish drywall, blocking, and backing, as well as construct soffits, bulkheads, and ceiling framing.
• Install doors, frames, hardware, trim, casework, and other finish-carpentry components.
• Read and interpret blueprints and shop drawings to complete accurate layouts, measurements, and cuts.
• Provide direction to assigned laborers, stage materials, and maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.

Commercial Carpenter Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of commercial carpentry experience; institutional or new-construction experience is preferred.
• Ability to independently perform layouts from blueprints and complete work accurately with minimal supervision.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to and from the jobsite.
• Must provide personal hand tools and required PPE, including a hard hat, safety glasses, work boots, and a safety vest.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States and able to pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check.
