Easterseals Florida is seeking a compassionate, organized, and detail-oriented Intake Specialist to join our Treasure Coast Early Steps team in West Palm Beach.

 

Our Treasure Coast Early Steps program provides early intervention services for infants and toddlers, birth to age 3, who have developmental delays or disabilities. As the first point of contact for families entering the program, you will play an important role in creating a positive experience and helping children access the services they need to reach their fullest potential.

A Snapshot of What You'll Do:

  • Serve as the first point of contact for families referred to the Early Steps program
  • Contact families promptly and professionally regarding referrals and services
  • Explain program eligibility, services, and the Early Steps philosophy
  • Collect, verify, and maintain intake and insurance information
  • Accurately enter family demographic information into the Early Steps Data System
  • Schedule evaluations and coordinate appointment cancellations or reschedules
  • Monitor timelines and ensure compliance with program requirements
  • Deliver outstanding customer service while supporting families throughout the intake process

 

What We're Looking For

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Previous experience in medical intake, healthcare administration, scheduling, or a related administrative role preferred
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and database systems
  • Accurate data entry and keyboarding skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • An energetic and professional individual who will promote a positive, respectful and team-based environment
