What You'll Do As a Territory/Outside Sales Representative, you'll develop and grow relationships within an assigned territory, identify equipment sales and rental opportunities, and guide customers through the sales process from initial contact through completion. Develop and maintain a strong understanding of Bobcat products and equipment, including the ability to explain product features, benefits, applications, and how they meet customer needs. Identify and develop prospective customers within the branch's primary market area and assigned territory. Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers through regular communication, in-person visits, follow-up, and ongoing account management. Develop and execute short- and long-term sales plans and programs to meet or exceed sales goals and grow the Company's customer base. Maintain accurate sales activity in the Company's sales management systems, including customer contacts, opportunities, follow-up activities, and lost sales. Consistently prospect for new business through customer visits, referrals, networking, associations, events, and other approved sales activities. Actively participate in associations and business organizations utilized by the Company to support and increase the customer base. Conduct product demonstrations and customer visits as needed to help customers identify the right equipment and solutions for their applications. Work closely with branch and service management to ensure customers receive professional service, support, and timely communication throughout the customer relationship. Coordinate with Sales Coordinators to ensure sales transactions are completed accurately and timely, including invoices, credits, incentives, financing documentation, and collection of customer payments. Achieve sales objectives within designated budgets and provide accurate sales activity, pipeline, and performance reports to management. Participate in scheduled sales meetings with management to review sales progress, customer opportunities, market conditions, and ideas for generating additional sales. Assist with planning and participating in advertising, promotional, community, and customer activities that support sales growth. Maintain a positive and professional image of Total Equipment Management in all customer interactions and Company-sponsored activities. Maintain accurate customer and sales information and communicate relevant customer needs and opportunities to management and appropriate branch personnel. QualificationsWhat You Bring We're looking for someone who enjoys working with people, building relationships, and finding equipment solutions that help customers succeed. Two or more years of sales experience, preferably in the compact construction equipment, heavy equipment, rental, or related industry. Strong communication, relationship-building, negotiation, and customer service skills. Ability to work with a wide range of personalities in a courteous and professional manner. Ability to prospect for new business and manage an existing customer base with minimal supervision. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to learn and use sales management, CRM, and other business software. Competent skills regarding the safe operation and application of compact construction equipment. Ability to understand customer applications and recommend appropriate equipment or solutions. Ability to organize, prioritize, follow up, and manage multiple customer opportunities at the same time. Commitment to representing the Company professionally and providing a high level of customer service. Must abide by Company Vehicle Policy and all federal, state, and local motor vehicle laws. Education & Experience Two years of sales experience, preferably in the compact equipment industry, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Valid state driver's license and safe driving practices. Physical Requirements This is an active, customer-facing position requiring the ability to: Lift and pull 40 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds occasionally. Work with office equipment, computers, mobile devices, and other electronics. Traverse various terrain at customer jobsites, branch grounds, equipment yards, and facilities. Safely operate compact construction equipment as required for demonstrations or customer needs. Perform the physical duties of the job while following all applicable safety procedures.
