Job DetailsJob Location: West Valley 2 - West Valley City, UT 84120Job Summary: Under the supervision of the food services manager/program manager and school director, the School Food Service Employee receives food items and distributes meals to classrooms and/or students. Assists parents with Free/Reduced Lunch Applications and ordering meals. Accurately completes and submits all required food service reports. Operates and cleans facility and equipment. Follows Utah State safety standards for food preparation, safety, storage and disposal. Follows National School Lunch Program, National School Breakfast Program, Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Program, After School Snack Program guidelines. Follows all APA Staff policies. May complete other campus food service staff duties as needed. School Food Service employees will not work more than 29 hours per week unless additional hours are approved and included in yearly LOU. QualificationsKnowledge, Skills and Abilities: personal integrity and dependability quick-paced, hard-working, high-energy personality works and communicates well with other (co-workers, parents, students) self sufficient basic computer skills - will receive training on specific programs that are used (Hot Lunches Online, Google Sheets, Email, Skyward, etc.) customer service skills bilingual speaking preferred but not required maintain the ability to stand, reach, lift, bend, kneel, stoop, climb, push, pull, and list items weighing 50 lbs. or less ability to stand or walk 95% of the workday required to obtain a State of Utah Food Handlers Permit within 30 days of employment Physical Demands Maintain the ability to stand, reach, lift, bend, kneel, stoop, climb, push, pull, and lift items weighing up to 35lbs. Stand or walk 95% of the workday. Schedule/Hours Monday thru Friday per school calendar (see link) Hours - To be assigned as needed (School Food Service employees will not work more than 29 hours per week). Approx 8:30am to 1:30pm Pay - start at $12 per hour and up to $15 per hour
