About the Role:
Westfield Pediatric Dental Group is looking for a warm, organized, and patient-focused Patient Care Coordinator to join our growing team in Westfield, NJ! Responsibilities:
- Greet and check in patients and families, ensuring a welcoming and positive front office experience
- Schedule, confirm, and manage patient appointments using dental practice management software
- Verify dental insurance eligibility and process claims, authorizations, and billing inquiries
- Collect co-pays, process payments, and maintain accurate patient account records
- Communicate treatment plans and financial options clearly to parents and guardians
- Coordinate with clinical staff to ensure smooth patient flow throughout the office
- Respond to phone, email, and portal inquiries in a timely and professional manner
Requirements:
- 1+ years of experience in a dental front office setting preferred
- Familiarity with dental insurance verification, billing, and claims processing
- Proficiency with dental practice management software (CareStack, OpenDental preferred)
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, especially with children and families
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a busy environment
- Compassionate, patient, and professional demeanor at all times
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree or healthcare certification a plus
