About the Role:
The Senior Accountant at Specialty Smile Partners will play a pivotal role in managing and overseeing the company’s financial records with accuracy and integrity. This position is responsible for ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements while providing insightful financial analysis to support strategic decision-making. The Senior Accountant will lead month-end and year-end closing processes, prepare detailed financial reports, and coordinate audits. This role requires collaboration with various departments to optimize financial operations and improve internal controls. Ultimately, the Senior Accountant will contribute to the financial health and sustainability of the organization by maintaining transparent and reliable accounting practices.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of professional accounting experience.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, standards, and regulations.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent professional certification.
- Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms.
- Previous experience in a senior accounting role within a support services or technology company.
- Advanced skills in financial modeling and data analysis.
- Familiarity with local tax laws and regulatory compliance in the region.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial data.
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
- Coordinate and support internal and external audit processes, providing necessary documentation and explanations.
- Perform account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to guide management decisions.
- Ensure compliance with local accounting standards, tax regulations, and company policies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline accounting processes and improve financial controls.
- Mentor and support junior accounting staff to enhance team performance and knowledge.
Skills:
The Senior Accountant will utilize their strong accounting knowledge daily to ensure accurate financial record-keeping and reporting. Proficiency in accounting software and Excel will be essential for managing complex data sets and performing reconciliations efficiently. Analytical skills will be applied to interpret financial information, identify trends, and support budgeting and forecasting activities. Communication skills are critical for collaborating with internal teams and external auditors, as well as mentoring junior staff.
