Order or execute various tests, analyses, and diagnostic images to provide information on patientsā conditions.Ā
Perform initial āwetĀ readā interpretation of x-rays andĀ initiateĀ clinical interventions as necessaryĀ
Analyze reports and findings of tests andĀ examinations, andĀ diagnose conditions of patients.Ā
Administer or prescribe treatments.Ā
DetermineĀ and prescribe medication, dosage, and schedule given the patientsā conditions and allergies.Ā
Discuss anyĀ possible sideĀ effectsĀ toĀ medication or immunization with patients. Be willing to obtain DOT medical examiner certification via online training and pass official examination.Ā
Prescribe and administer vaccinations to immunize patients from communicable diseases.Ā
Administer IV, IM, IN and SQ injections as clinically indicatedĀ
Promote health byĀ advisingĀ patients about diet, hygiene, and methods forĀ prevention ofĀ disease.Ā
Perform surgicalĀ proceduresĀ commensurateĀ with surgical competency.Ā
Refer patients to primary care physicians or medical specialists for consultation services when necessary for the well-being of the patients.Ā
Document the patientsā visits including medical history, physicalĀ exam, diagnoses, and plan of action.Ā
Follow-upĀ with patientsĀ regardingĀ progress inĀ high riskĀ or emergency cases. Follow-up daily on laboratory tests and X-Rays.Ā
Conduct physical examinations to provide information needed for admission to school/sports/camp or consideration for jobs.Ā
Maintain a professional appearance.Ā
MaintainĀ a currentĀ CPR certification.Ā
Understand the concepts of universal precautions,Ā HIPAAĀ and OSHA.Ā

QualificationsĀ
Extensive Clinical Experience Emergency Medicine isĀ required.Ā
Comfortable with minor surgical procedures, including suturingĀ
Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant programĀ
Licensed Physician AssistantĀ
Board Certificate NCCPAĀ
Hours M-F 9am - 7pm; Sat-Sun 9am - 4pm
