The Opportunity

We are looking for a Business Development Representative to help lead and build WeSuite’s outbound sales motion from the ground up. As the first BDR on the team, you will own high-volume prospecting, lead qualification, and initial conversations with prospective customers, helping turn outreach into qualified pipeline.

You will be one of the first people prospects interact with at WeSuite, representing the company through calls, emails, and discovery conversations. This is a hands-on sales role for someone who is motivated by targets, comfortable with rejection, and excited to take ownership of building something new.

Location: White Plains (hybrid)

The base salary range for this role is $ 50,000 - 65,000 USD. This role also includes commission/variable compensation. Final compensation will be determined based on experience, skills, and location.

What You’ll Own

Outbound Prospecting & Pipeline Generation

  • Run high-volume outbound prospecting through cold calls, email, LinkedIn, and industry events.
  • Research and engage decision-makers across security, fire, IT, AV, HVAC, and other integrator businesses.
  • Build consistent outreach cadences and follow up persistently with prospective customers.
  • Generate qualified meetings and pipeline for Account Executives.
  • Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly targets for outreach activity, qualified opportunities, meetings booked, and pipeline contribution.

Lead Qualification & Customer Conversations

  • Host initial screening, discovery, and qualification calls with prospective customers.
  • Understand each prospect’s business, current sales processes, challenges, and needs to determine whether there is a strong fit.
  • Handle initial questions and objections while clearly communicating the value of WeSuite’s solutions.
  • Serve as a strong first representation of WeSuite and create a positive experience from the first interaction.
  • Provide Account Executives with clear context and qualification details when handing off opportunities.

Sales Process & Go-to-Market Improvement

  • Keep CRM records accurate and current so the sales team has clear visibility into outreach, opportunities, and next steps.
  • Track which outreach approaches, customer profiles, and messages generate the strongest qualified pipeline.
  • Share prospect feedback and market insights with Sales and Marketing to improve targeting and messaging.
  • Identify opportunities to improve the outbound process and recommend what the team should test, change, or scale.
What We’re Looking For
  • One to three years of experience in business development, outbound sales, or a similar customer-facing sales role.
  • Hands-on experience prospecting through cold calls, email, LinkedIn, or other outbound channels.
  • Confidence hosting initial prospect conversations, asking qualification questions, handling objections, and securing next steps.
  • Comfortable working in a high-volume sales environment where rejection is part of the job.
  • Strong internal motivation and the drive to consistently reach or exceed targets without needing constant direction.
  • Clear and persuasive written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organization and follow-through across multiple prospects and conversations.

Strongly Preferred

  • Experience selling software or technology solutions.
  • Familiarity with security, fire and life safety, AV, HVAC, integrator businesses, or vertical SaaS.
  • Experience helping build or improve an outbound sales process, playbook, or prospecting strategy.
Why WeSuite?
  • Build something from the ground up: As the first BDR, you will have meaningful ownership in shaping how WeSuite approaches outbound sales.
  • Make a visible impact: The conversations you start and opportunities you qualify will directly influence the quality and growth of the sales pipeline.
  • Work closely with the business: Collaborate directly with Account Executives, Marketing, and sales leadership to improve how WeSuite reaches and converts prospective customers.
  • Develop as a seller: Build experience across prospecting, discovery, qualification, objection handling, and the broader sales cycle.
