Job DetailsJob Location: Wilkes-Barre, PA 18705Position Type: Full TimeJob Category: ManufacturingThe Master Scheduler balances demand (customer orders, sales forecasts and interplant shipments) and supply (capacity planning) to hit targeted inventory levels to exceed customer expectations; analyzes product demands and inventory levels to determine reorder levels and safety stocks that will ensure product availability and minimize inventory costs; and coordinates with production planners/buyers to ensure inventory management and procurement activities support the production plan. Primary Responsibilities: Maintains finished good inventory at target to ensure high service levels. Prepares master schedule to create sequence and lead times in order to meet required dates, according to internal and external orders or sales forecast. Ensures coordination with production planners to execute production plan on weekly/ monthly basis. Monitors actual output versus the production plan. Identifies gaps and drives solutions on performance compared to actual output. Performs analysis on system and forecasts each month, highlighting areas of concern. Provides accurate delivery dates on internal and external sales orders. Identifies release requisitions and makes changes, as necessary. Reviews material shortages, stock outs, safety stock levels, and minimum /maximum quantities to meet customer requirements and proposes changes when necessary. Collaborates with IT to analyze & create enhanced functionality in planning applications. Creates and monitors monthly KPI Reports. Establishes material movement from manufacturing to distribution and/or distribution to distribution, ensuring high levels of customer service with the lowest overall cost; provides appropriate and achievable delivery dates based on manufacturing/transportation lead times. Assists in planning, monitoring, and/or managing budget in functional area of department. Guides work of others who perform essentially the same work. May organize, set priorities, schedule and review work, but has no responsibility to hire, terminate, review performance, or make pay decisions. Possesses knowledge and understanding of the Code of Business Ethics. Contributes to a workplace environment that is conducive to the maintenance of the Code. Remains alert and sensitive to situations that could result in actions by an employee that are illegal, unethical, in violation of the Code or the policies and procedures that support the Code. Reports actual or perceived violations of the Code or Company policies and procedures for appropriate action. Requirements: High school diploma required. 5-8 years of relevant experience, including with MRP/ERP systems Knowledge of supply chain processes and procedures, including supply and demand planning, and replenishment processes Bachelor's degree in supply management, business, or related filed preferred.
