JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY:

 

Verifications Specialists are responsible for interacting with clients as part of the vacation ownership sales process.  Main responsibilities for the Verifications Specialist include the review of purchase, review and completion of purchasing documents and to ensure all purchase documents are complete and accurate.  

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Meet with prospective owners to review and complete all purchasing documents. 
  • Ensure all required documents are complete and accurate. 
  • Ensure customer completely understands the purchase and all legal documentation associated with the sale.
  • Approve all credit for sales.
  • Maintain an “Individual Cancellation Rate” equal to or less than 14%.
  • Monitor the sales process to ensure that sales are achieved by the approved selling method and with the highest integrity.
  • Ensure adherence to sales process by Sales Representatives; relay any issues that may arise to supervisor.
  • Maintain knowledge of II, RCI, Rental Program, I.C.E. Gallery Program, Maintenance Fees, Monthly Payments, Interest Rate, etc. and responsible for explanations of.
  • Responsible for ordering all II, RCI and I.C.E Gallery materials used during the closing process. 
  • Remain up-to-date and knowledgeable of SDC Properties units and properties.
  • Make appointments and meet all clients with questions pertaining to purchase.
  • Return all calls and answer client questions in a prompt and professional manner.
  • Determine prospective purchaser’s needs and interests while creating a desire in purchasing vacation ownership with SDC Properties.
  • Provide superior customer service to all internal and external customers.
  • Perform additional or different duties, from those set forth above, to address business needs and changing business practices as directed by the supervisor.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma or GED required; significant work experience may substitute for education.
  • Strong knowledge of the organization's products, services and sales techniques 
  • Strong knowledge of timeshare industry.
  • Strong working knowledge of RCI, I.C.E Gallery and II products & services.
  • Strong knowledge of and skilled in negotiation.
  • Knowledgeable and competent in completing paperwork pertaining to vacation ownership properties.
  • Knowledge of standard office practices, procedures, routines and equipment.
  • Knowledge of all Microsoft® Office products and proficient in the usage of.
  • Knowledge of computers and skilled in the usage of.
  • Ability to exude confidence, while being professional and courteous.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in a professional manner using tact, patience and courtesy; both verbally and in writing. 
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with peers, employees, and management.
  • Ability to provide strong attention to detail and problem solve.
  • Ability to deal with guests and owners in an expedient and professional manner, especially in difficult or stressful situations.
  • Ability to exhibit excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to exhibit a positive attitude and thrive in a fast-paced environment under pressure of deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently as well as with other team members.
  • Ability to multi-task using excellent organizational and planning skills.

OPTIONAL SKILLS A PLUS:

  • Knowledge of Spinnaker Resorts and or the timeshare industry

 

WORKING CONDITIONS AND ENVIRONMENT

 

Physical Demands:

Primary functions require sufficient physical ability and mobility to work in an office setting; to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time; to occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist; to lift, carry, push, and/or pull light to moderate amounts of weight, occasionally lifting 30 to 50 lbs.; to operate office equipment requiring repetitive hand movement and fine coordination including use of a computer keyboard; to travel to other locations using private transportation; and to verbally communicate information.

 

Working Conditions:

Full time position (four (4), five (5) and/or six (6) day work week)

Work schedule to include day, weekend and holiday hours

Evening hours and occasional overtime may be requested based on business demands.

 

Vacation:

Vacation is unavailable during peak time

Memorial Day through Labor Day, 

Thanksgiving weekend (Thanksgiving Day-Sunday) and 

December 23rd-New Year’s Day 

 

Environment:   

Work is performed primarily in a fast-paced office environment with frequent interruptions.
