Diagnose, repair, inspect and maintain motorized and mechanical equipment related to construction, highway maintenance, grounds, and automotive equipment of all types and in varied locations. Perform special duties as assigned.

How you will contribute:
  • Diagnosis and Repair: Diagnose vehicle, equipment or asset failures using electronic testing equipment, service and equipment repair manuals and on-line resources. Recommend outsourcing for major repairs when needed.
  • Perform Repair Work : Perform repairs and overhauls to all types of automobiles, equipment, and tools to include engines, transmissions, driveline components, electrical and computer systems, fuel injection systems, air conditioning, heating and ventilation systems, hydraulic systems, pneumatic components and air brakes.
  • Perform duties as assigned.: Perform duties, tasks, activities and/or projects as assigned.
  • Preventive Maintenance: Perform preventive maintenance on vehicles, equipment, or assets according to PM schedule and guidelines. Make repairs as needed when deficiencies are found or recommend outsourcing.
  • Welding Repair and Fabrication: Design, fabricate, modify, and weld components to repair, rebuild, or replace parts.


  • What will make you successful:
  • Ability to comprehend service and repair manuals, gauges, and testing devices.
  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
  • Ability to independently perform major repairs and maintenance on a variety of diesel and gasoline trucks and equipment.
  • Ability to read, write, and perform basic math calculations.
  • Skill in the use of computers and software applications.

  • Minimum Qualifications:
  • Ability to perform heavy manual labor.
  • Ability to read and comprehend service and equipment repair manuals, gauges, and testing devices.
  • Knowledge of cutting, welding and fabrication operations.

  • Additional Considerations:
  • A combination of training, experience, or education in Equipment Repair or related field desired.
  • ASE certification desired.
