Coordinator of Safety & Risk

Help create a safer, stronger organization!

$60,000–$70,000/year | Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM

The Arc Erie County NY is seeking a Coordinator of Safety & Risk to support safety, risk management, and accident-prevention efforts across our organization.

This is an opportunity for a safety-minded professional who can identify potential risks, analyze trends, develop practical solutions, and work collaboratively with teams throughout the agency.

Where You’ll Make an Impact

  • Coordinate agency-wide safety and risk management initiatives
  • Conduct safety inspections and recommend improvements
  • Develop and deliver safety and accident-prevention training
  • Lead the agency’s Safety Committee
  • Review safety data and identify trends and areas of concern
  • Participate in accident investigations and recommend preventive measures
  • Support emergency preparedness plans and drills
  • Assist with insurance and organizational risk-management activities

Qualifications

Candidates must meet one of the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Occupational Safety, or a related field

OR

  • Five years of experience in Safety and Risk Management within a multi-dimensional organization

 

Preferred Experience

We are particularly interested in candidates who bring:

  • Knowledge of safety and risk management best practices
  • Experience developing policies, reports, and safety-related recommendations
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills
  • OSHA or emergency preparedness certifications
  • Experience with commercial insurance, safety, or risk management
