Position Summary: The Industrial Maintenance Technician is responsible for the repair, maintenance, and upkeep of our manufacturing facilities (Buildings 1 & 2), production machinery, and related assets to ensure optimal performance, minimal downtime, and a safe working environment.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities: 

  • Install, relocate, or modify machinery, equipment, and accessories as needed.
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and plumbing issues on production equipment, lift trucks, power tools, and facility systems.
  • Perform preventive maintenance (PM) on machinery, equipment, buildings, and grounds to extend asset life and reliability.
  • Fabricate, construct, or repair plant and office structures, fixtures, and components.
  • Safely operate tools and equipment to move, position, and handle heavy materials or machinery.
  • Identify and report faulty equipment, defective materials, improper operations, or unusual conditions to supervision.
  • Coordinate and manage outside subcontractors for specialized maintenance, security systems, and other services as required.
  • Review and prioritize maintenance work orders efficiently.
  • Collaborate with Purchasing to order parts, supplies, and materials for repairs and maintenance.
  • Adhere to Fusion's Quality Policy, ISO 9001 standards, and established procedures; actively seek opportunities for continuous process improvement.
  • Follow all prescribed safety rules, regulations, and company policies to maintain a safe workplace.
  • Perform other duties as assigned. 

Essential Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3+ years of hands-on industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment, with strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and general facility systems.
  • Experience using maintenance scheduling software for work orders and PM tracking.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, active listening, and ability to follow written/verbal instructions.
  • Team-oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate effectively in conversations, projects, and meetings.
  • Physical capability to lift/move heavy objects (up to 50+ lbs.) manually or with appropriate equipment, stand/walk for extended periods, and work in varying conditions.
  • Must be comfortable working at heights, using ladders, scaffolding, lifts and able to safely perform tasks while using fall protection equipment. 
  • Strong problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Additional certifications (e.g., in hydraulics, pneumatics, PLC basics, or welding) are a plus.
  • Experience in automation, machinery manufacturing, or metalworking environment.
  • Valid electrician’s license (state of Ohio preferred) or equivalent certification.
