Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Assurance Technician to support our Quality team in a manufacturing environment. This position will primarily focus on First Article Inspection (FAI) documentation, quality records, certification accountability, and general inspection activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and maintain FAI documentation in accordance with AS9102 requirements.
  • Create and maintain inspection bubble drawings using DISCUS software.
  • Review and maintain material, process, and supplier certifications for customer orders.
  • Maintain quality records and ensure proper record retention and traceability.
  • Perform general bench inspection using standard inspection equipment.
  • Review drawings, specifications, and customer requirements to support inspection activities.
  • Work closely with Quality, Engineering, Production, and other departments to resolve documentation and inspection issues.
  • Maintain accurate and organized quality documentation in accordance with company procedures and customer requirements.


This is a hands-on quality position that combines inspection with FAI, documentation, and quality-system support.

Qualifications

Previous experience in quality inspection, manufacturing, or quality documentation preferred.

Familiarity with AS9102/FAI requirements preferred.

Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Basic computer skills; experience with DISCUS or similar inspection software is a plus.

Aerospace manufacturing experience is preferred but not required.



Working Conditions


Work performed primarily in a precision machine shop environment.
 Exposure to noise, oil, and metal shavings typical of machining operations.
 Frequent standing, walking, and occasional lifting (up to 30 lbs).
 Must wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
