Turquoise Ridge - Core Shed Technician

Position Description:

Responsibilities:

• Maintaina clean and safe working environment
• Retrieve core samples from pickup points
• Retrieve and deliver items to the warehouse
• Load core onto the inspection lanes, photographing core and sawing core
• Prepare the core samples to be shipped using the procedure outlined in the sample preparation policy
• Use various computer programs
• Print the sample bags and bar code tags
• Receive and log returned pulp samples, placing it in the warehouse storage and documenting that location information
• Operate forklifts and light vehicles
• Follow all safety and environmental policies
• Complete light maintenance of facilities as needed

Qualifications:

• Knowledge of safety and environmental policies and practices, and willingness to develop related skills sets required 
• Maintain a valid State driver’s license for light vehicles. Ability to safely and effectively operate light vehicles required 
• Ability to lift 50 lbs regularly required
• Ability to manage multiple tasks with shifting priorities required
• Effective organizational and communication skills (written and verbal) required 
• Basic math skills required 
• Ability to read and understand material retrieval requests, collect these materials and ship accordingly.
• Ability to learn and use basic computer software’s including Microsoft Office and AcQuire
