Direct Support Professionals (DSP- Winthrop)

SequelCare of Maine, established in 2010, helps children, teens, adults and families with their behavioral and home health needs. We have offices in Yarmouth, Bangor and Searsport and serve clients throughout the state. Overview: Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) work in our group residential homes with our adult clients that have developmental disabilities.  DSPs are an important part of our team and support our clients in developing a predictable routine and daily structure. As a DSP you will work with our clients, their families and other service providers to promote independence, develop daily living skills, provide direct care and administer medication if you have your CRMA. You will assist with housekeeping, personal hygiene, transportation, meal prep, grocery shopping, and take clients into the community for outings. We are looking for compassionate and caring people with a sense of humor and dedication to join our team.

Requirements:

·       Education- High School diploma or GED

·        Must have strong Communication and computer skills

·        Certification: Must obtain or have an existing DSP Provisional Certificate and Certified Residential Medication Aide Certificate CCRMA). If needed, we provide DSP and CRMA training at no cost to you.

·        Experience: One year of experience with adults in a supervised setting or relevant life experience

·        Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license
