At the RitterTech ParkerStore in MI Wixom Store, our Store Associates are the experts that manufacturing, automotive, construction, and industrial customers count on when their equipment goes down and they need the right hose or fitting — fast. You will help customers identify solutions, build hose assemblies using crimping equipment, process quotes and orders in Profit 21, manage inventory, and represent the store to our customer base in the field. No two days are exactly the same, and the work you do directly helps customers get back up and running. What You'll Do Customer Service and Sales Assist walk-in, email, and telephone customers in identifying the right hoses, fittings, tubing, and couplings for their industrial and mobile applications. Troubleshoot customer needs and recommend the right product solutions. Actively work with the store manager, outside sales team, and manufacturer representatives — including visiting customer sites in the store market, delivering product, and maintaining customer inventories as needed. Follow up on quotes and orders with customers via phone, email, or in person. Participate in promoting the store to the customer base through marketing efforts and customer outreach. Log all activities, opportunities, and contacts in CRM. Hose Assembly and Fabrication Fabricate Parker hydraulic and pneumatic hose assemblies and associated fittings using available crimping equipment. Develop and maintain working application knowledge of Parker hydraulic and pneumatic hoses, fittings, tubing, and couplings. Complete all required training programs as directed by management related to Parker and vendor products — some training may require travel and some will be online. Inventory and Store Operations Check inventory, send quotes, and enter orders through Profit 21. Assist with order entry, pulling orders, shipping and receiving, unloading trucks, checking in merchandise, and verifying packing lists. Record amounts of items received or distributed in the computerized inventory control system. Sort and place merchandise on racks, shelves, or in bins according to bin codes or other predetermined order (type, size, color, etc.). Conduct cycle counts and manage and maintain inventory levels in the store. Maintain store merchandising — rotating end caps, keeping displays full, clean and organized, replenishing product information library, and keeping signage current. Fill in for store managers at other locations as needed when directed by management. QualificationsWhat We're Looking For Must Have: Excellent communication and customer service skills. Ability to read and interpret purchase orders, shipping manifests, packing lists, and shipping lists. Basic computer skills including Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; ability to learn inventory software, CRM, and Profit 21. Basic math skills — counting, adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing. Ability to work effectively as part of a team. Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in a warehouse environment (climbing, standing, reaching, bending, kneeling, stooping). High school diploma or GED; one to three months related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Nice to Have: Prior experience in a warehouse environment and experience with multi-carrier shipping systems. Background in or trainable on industrial hose crimping machines — Parker is the preferred model. Familiarity with fluid power products and applications.
