EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Required: Licensed in Massachusetts in Applied Behavior Analysis, Mental Health Counseling or as a psychologist. Must be a Massachusetts Licensed Applied Behavior Analyst (LABA), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) or MA Licensed Psychologist. MS, MA, or doctoral degree required.
  2. The qualified candidate has a demonstrated expertise, education and/or training in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and Positive Behavior Supports (PBS).
  3. Experience working with adults with IDD in clinically challenging residential and/or day services settings.


OBJECTIVE: To provide ensure that the highest quality of clinical services, Applied Behavior Analysis, and Positive Behavior Supports are provided to the people supported by NuPath across all programs.


ESSENTIAL SKILLS: 

  1. The ability to work independently, be organized, and use good time management skills
  2. Great interpersonal skills
  3. Excellent communication skills including public speaking
  4. Excellent computer skills and knowledgeable in the use of AI and technology

      5. The ability to complete a thorough, accurate functional behavior assessment

      6. The ability to develop a behavior treatment plan from assessment results

      7. The ability to provide others with feedback/training in both informal and formal settings

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Must have the physical ability to stand frequently during the day, engage in repeated stooping or bending at the waist and be able to go up and down stairs several times during the shift. Must be able, if required, to visually monitor people served for safety and if needed to physically intervene and ensure the safety of individuals in the program and others.

 

WORK LOCATIONS: Day services based with routine observations in residential homes.


OVERVIEW OF SPECIFIC DUTIES: 

  1. Oversight of Caseload, all clinical aspects: Meetings, assessments, plans, staff training, data….
  2. Ensure clinical work meets ethical standards as well as MA Regulations.
  3. Develop and provide clinical training for agency personnel, specific and general training.
  4. Maintain clinical practice according to ethical and industry standards.
  5. Participate in NuPath Human Rights Committee meetings.
  6. Positive support of agency development and growth, support and implement PBS Initiative, provide tours, internal and external presentations…
  7. Maintain general safety, respond to crisis situations, provide crisis intervention when necessary including physical restraint, obtain PABC certification, become a PABC instructor.
  8. Complete CEUs, learning and continuing education opportunities, mandatory core trainings, and stay current with relevant research.
  9. Adhere to all NuPath policies and procedures, abide by the NuPath Code of Conduct, and Dress Code.
  10. Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
  11. Must have valid MA or NH Driver’s License.
