Purpose and Description

Responsible for managing the configuration, testing and deployment of benefit programs including ancillary benefit offerings, providing ongoing service, and annual renewal changes during the implementation lifecycle, as well as acting as the primary contact between clients, brokers, and insurance carriers. 

Responsibilities

  1. Service all accounts (quotes, new business, renewals, etc.) as assigned by department management.
  2. Act as the primary technical project manager helping clients through benefits implementation process.
  3. Serve as the main point of contact to train HR teams, explain plan setups, and resolve operational issues
  4. Provide ongoing support for annual open enrollment, mid-year changes and platform updates.
  5. Run test enrollments and audit data accuracy prior to official employee-facing launches.
  6. Troubleshoot workflows, import or automation issues to ensure accurate data transfer.
  7. Develop and document benefits implementation processes and best practices.
  8. Develop new business and renewal quotations and proposals for Account Executives. Create coverage and benefit comparisons and works on special projects upon request.
  9. Manage renewal expiration list updated and processes all renewals on a timely basis.
  10. Track submissions, BORs, quotes, proposals and bound business.
  11. Participate in client visits and meetings.
  12. Assist manager with monthly renewal meetings.


Skills/Knowledge

Excellent organization and communication skills required. Understanding of general human resources, payroll deduction rules, and compliance regulations. Computer proficiency, Microsoft Excel and agency management systems. Deep familiarity with benefits administration platforms. 

Experience/Education

Three years’ experience client-facing implementation, benefits administration, or working within an insurance/employee benefits brokerage. Strong understanding of ancillary benefit programs.
