Minnesota Women’s Care is a private, patient-focused practice dedicated to providing personalized, state-of-the-art medical care for women of all ages in a welcoming, supportive environment. We are seeking a passionate and experienced Functional Medicine Physician to join our robust, integrative clinical team.


As a Functional Medicine Physician, you will work alongside an interdisciplinary team—including health coaches, acupuncturists, family medicine physicians, OB providers, hormone therapy experts, and more—to ensure patients receive seamless, coordinated care. You will have regular opportunities for monthly case reviews, collaborative learning, and the flexibility to introduce or develop new services that reflect your interests and expertise.

This is a full-time position with four clinical days per week and one dedicated administrative day, with flexibility for remote or hybrid work depending on your comfort level and experience.


Required Qualifications

* Medical Provider (Physician or NP / PA)

* Board certification in Functional Medicine or a related field

* Strong knowledge of functional medicine principles and practices

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

* Ability to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals

* Commitment to staying current with the latest research and advancements in the field

* Compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care* Demonstrated experience with integrative or holistic medicine, preferably in a team-based or multidisciplinary setting* Familiarity with a broad range of functional medicine and conventional diagnostic testing methods* Strong background in nutrition, lifestyle counseling, and patient empowerment strategies* Demonstrated ability to understand, adhere to, and contribute to the development of established policies, procedures, and evidence-based clinical protocols.* Proven ability to work collaboratively with physicians, nurses, medical assistants, and administrative staff in a busy and complex environment, demonstrating tact, diplomacy, professionalism, and emotional intelligence.* Strong charting/documentation skills.* Unwavering commitment to clinical excellence, patient safety, and maintaining the highest standards of professional practice* Exceptional written and oral communication skills, with the ability to explain complex medical information in clear, accessible language* Ability to effectively communicate with people at all levels and from various backgrounds.* Good judgment, with the ability to make timely, sound decisions.* Creative, flexible, and innovative team player with a solutions-oriented mindset and adaptability to changing clinical needs.
Key Clinical Responsibilities

* Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including detailed medical history, lifestyle factors, psychosocial considerations, and environmental exposures.

* Develop personalized, evidence-based treatment plans that address the root causes of illness, utilizing integrative modalities to promote overall wellness.

* Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team—including health coaches, acupuncturists, family medicine physicians, OB providers, and hormone specialists—to provide a holistic approach to patient care.

* Maintain up-to-date knowledge of advances in functional and integrative medicine, participating in ongoing education and bringing innovative approaches to the team.

* Educate and empower patients regarding nutrition, exercise, stress management, sleep, and other lifestyle factors essential to optimal health.

* Monitor patient progress closely, utilizing appropriate functional medicine testing and patient feedback, and adjusting treatment plans as needed for best outcomes.

* Maintain accurate and detailed patient records.

* Respond promptly and professionally to patient and team communications, providing timely clinical guidance, addressing concerns, and coordinating care as needed.

* Interpret and clearly communicate lab results, imaging findings, and pathology reports to patients, ensuring understanding, answering questions, and supporting shared decision-making.

* Partners with patients to develop individualized, evidence-based care plans that respect patient preferences, cultural backgrounds, and personal health goals while promoting optimal health outcomes.

* Work collaboratively with the interdisciplinary and integrative care team—including internal and external specialists, nurses, therapists, and community resources—to ensure comprehensive, well-coordinated patient care.

* Carefully completes all required documentation in a timely fashion.
