PRODUCTION MAINTENANCE

Our Production Maintenance is responsible for maintaining the production equipment to ensure safe and effective working conditions.

JOB DUTIES:

• Install new, and maintain existing production equipment. 
• Maintain fork trucks and other vehicles. 
• Set up, troubleshoot and maintain production equipment to minimize equipment downtime while maximizing employee productivity. 
• Provide support for engineering sample development to include making samples, evaluating new processes and determining equipment requirements (and/or capabilities). 
• Conduct routine safety inspections, ensure proper guarding is in place on machines throughout the department. Make guarding as necessary. 
• Contact outside resources when necessary to upgrade or replace equipment. 
• Perform preventive maintenance. 
• Must posses the skills necessary to operate basic machine shop equipment such as lathe, milling machine, surface grinder and drill press. 
• Design and fabricate jigs and fixtures required for production. 
• Complete Maintenance Requests in a timely and professional manner. 
• Perform additional duties as assigned. 

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:

• Ability to stand, walk, climb and carry throughout the shift. Maintenance work may be performed in many unusual locations, such as on ladders, on top of equipment and on the roof. 
• Ability to lift 100 pounds. 
• Use a computer effectively, including electrical troubleshooting of equipment is necessary. 
• Possess a strong mechanical aptitude and previous experience in equipment repair is needed. 
• Have an exceptional ability to efficiently organize one’s work schedule. Must be able to prioritize one’s assignments with minimal guidance. 
• Possess good communication skills, verbal and written. 
• Ability to use precision measuring devices, read blueprints and be fork truck certified is necessary. 
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area and safe working conditions and practices. 
• Work schedule flexibility is necessary to meet production demands. Overtime and continuing education will be required.
