Audit & Assurance Manager – Worcester, MA

 

The Innovative CPA Group is looking for an Attest Manager to join our team in our Worcester, MA location. The Innovative CPA Group is an employee-centric firm comprised of experienced tax and accounting professionals. We have successfully built a culture of empowerment, accountability, and wide-ranging expertise. We leverage the latest technology to streamline our workflow, thereby improving the service to our clients.

 

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Plan, manage, and execute audit, review, and compilation engagements for a diverse client base
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, building and maintaining strong relationships
  • Review financial statements and workpapers to ensure accuracy and compliance with applicable standards
  • Ensure engagements are completed on time and within budget
  • Research and resolve complex accounting and auditing issues
  • Supervise, train, and mentor staff and seniors, providing ongoing feedback and performance evaluations
  • Assist with staff development and training initiatives
  • Participate in business development efforts, including identifying opportunities with existing clients
  • Stay current on industry trends and changes in accounting and auditing standards

 

What You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field (Master's preferred)
  • CPA license preferred
  • 7+ years of public accounting experience, with a focus on audit/attest services
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and GAAS
  • Proven experience managing engagements and leading teams
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities
  • Proficiency in audit and accounting software
