Working Hours: 7:00am -5:00pm. Includes two 15-minute breaks and a 1-hour unpaid lunch. No nights! No weekends! 


Job Summary/Objective of Job

Driveshaft Rebuilders are responsible for the disassembly, inspection, repairing, and diagnosing of various drive shaft make and models.


Summary of Essential Job Functions

  • Disassemble customer jobs or cores 
  • Clean and determine what components need to be replaced
  • Order replacement parts as needed
  • Measure and cut tube to correct lengths for application
  • Assemble the driveshaft so it can then be welded and balanced

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
  •  Mechanical aptitude/ experience
  • Strong problem solving, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledgeable of safe work practices required in the department
  • Ability to remain goal-focused in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to coordinate/prioritize/organize

Physical Demands 

  • Lifting, Carrying, Pushing, and Pulling: Regularly required to lift, carry, push, and pull objects weighing up to 80 lbs. This may involve moving equipment, supplies, or other heavy items.
  • Frequent Walking and Kneeling: The role involves a significant amount of walking and kneeling, often on various surfaces, which may include uneven or rough terrain.
  • Speaking and Hearing: Effective communication is essential, requiring clear speech and the ability to hear and understand instructions, conversations, and other auditory signals.
  • Reaching, Handling, and Climbing: Tasks may require reaching overhead, handling tools or materials, and climbing ladders or stairs to access different areas or perform specific duties.
