JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Title: Flight Maintenance Engineer Manager
Department: Maintenance
Reports To: Director Technical Operations & Maintenance Control (TOMC)
Shift: Full Time - 1st Shift
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Ensure Flight Maintenance Engineers (FME), FME Supervisors, FME Assistant Manager, FME Schedulers and FME Trainers comply with all company policy and procedures.
- Coordinate with the Director TOMC to develop improvement and reliability initiatives with FME personnel.
- Coordinate with FME Supervisor to ensure FME maintain accurate FAK inventory and tooling on each airplane.
- Coordinate/direct FME scheduler/assistant to ensure correct personnel assignments.
- Coordinate with FME Supervisor to evaluate FME performance.
- Coordinate with FME Trainer to ensure formal training and OJT are accomplished.
- Coordinate with Outstation Line Maintenance Manager to provide direct liaison with international maintenance providers.
- Work with MX Control, MX Control Manager, Outstation Line Maintenance Manager, MX Planning Manager, MX Planning and Line Stations to ensure aircraft maintenance requirements are completed.
- Analyze expenses and operational requirements to manage the budget accordingly.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the Director TOMC.
QUALIFICATIONS:
10 years of aircraft maintenance experience preferred
5 years of supervisory experience preferred
FAA Airframe & Power Plant Certificate
Individual must be organized and able to work with computers and programs such as Word, Excel, Outlook, and Company Software
Must be a US Citizen and have a US Passport
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school graduate; some college and/or technical school desirable.
Must have a good working knowledge of world geography and flight operations.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, write and understand spoken and written English. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to give verbal and written directions.
