Description

The Maintenance Supervisor supports and coordinates daily maintenance operations while ensuring equipment reliability, safety, and efficiency. This role is responsible for guiding maintenance activities, assisting with troubleshooting and repairs, monitoring work quality, and helping reduce downtime through effective preventive maintenance. The position works closely with the maintenance team and production to ensure equipment and systems are maintained in accordance with company standards, safety requirements, and operational needs, while also supporting continuous improvement in maintenance practices.

Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Assign and prioritize work based on production needs, equipment status, and team capability
  • Provide technical guidance and support in troubleshooting: 
    • 480V / 3-phase electrical systems, motors, VFDs, and control circuits 
    • PLC-controlled equipment 
    • Mechanical systems including gearboxes, conveyors, bearings, and drive systems 
  • Provide guidance and support to technicians to improve job-related skills
  • Evaluate equipment and systems to identify maintenance and repair needs
  • Enforce safety procedures and provide training to prevent unsafe practices
  • Support efforts to reduce downtime through preventive maintenance practices
  • Maintain appropriate inventory levels for parts, tools, and supplies
  • Prepare and maintain maintenance reports, tracking equipment performance and trends
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and compliant work environment, including adherence to GMPs

  

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of maintenance experience required
  • Previous leadership experience preferred
  • Knowledge of Lockout/Tagout procedures and safety practices
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents and specifications
  • Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Ability to perform physical requirements exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly

Hours:

Day shift – 6a-3:30p with flexibility to support off shift Maintenance Teams as necessary
